Recently Mark and Sandy Veatch contributed to the museum a collection of original deeds and financial documents dating back a century or more that had come into their possession.
Included were a set of deeds that following the transfer of a tract of land near Lebanon Junction as it passed from J. L. Magruder to Ben Hargan (1904), then to William A. Watson (1904), and on to Dr. W. S. Napper (1909), and finally to Johnathan Masden in 1910. Below is a transcription and images of the fourth of those deeds.

W. S. Napper to Johnathan Masden
This deed made by and between William S. Napper and Lizzie M. Napper his wife of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, parties of the first part, and Johnathan, Masden and Elizabeth Jane Masden his wife of Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, parties of the second part.
Witnesseth that said parties of the first part, for, and in consideration of the sum of dollar and other valuable considerations, in hand paid, the receipt of which is here by acknowledged, have bargained and sold and do hereby sell, and convey to said parties of the second part the following described tracked of land situated in Bullitt County Kentucky, bounded and described as follows, viz.
Beginning at a stone, corner to Charles Masden's land, (formerly Thomas') line S 58 3/4 for 58 1/2° W 82 poles to a stone, corner to George Essix, thence with his line, N 25 3/4 for 26° W 139 3/5 poles to a black oak, white oak and small pine, thence N 60° E 22 poles to a white oak near the road, thence N 27° W 60 poles to a Chestnut oak on east side of knob, to Hocker, thence with his line N 58 3/4 for 59° E 62 poles to a white oak and stone in the original line, thence S 30 1/4 for 30° E 114 poles to a stone on south bank of a branch, and thence S 19 1/2 for 20° E 86 1/2 poles to the beginning, parcel containing 99 acres, 112 poles, more or less; being the same land conveyed to said W. A. Watson and wife by W. A. Watson and wife by deed dated 11th Dec 1909 and recorded in Deed Book No. 41, page 361 in the office of the clerk of Bullitt County Court.
To the said Johathan Masden and Elizabeth Jane Masden, their heirs and assigns to have and to hold forever with covenant of general warranty.
In testimony whereof witness the hands of the grantors herein named this 11th day of April 1910.
