Nathan Morrow to Pias Metcalf - 127.5 Acres on Cedar Creek

On 27 Feb 1877, Wesley Phelps and wife sold 127.5 acres located on Cedar Creek, near the Little Flock church to Nathan Morrow. Morrow later sold the tract to Pias Metcalf as shown below. However, the next year Metcalf sold it to William T. Morrow, Nathan's brother.

Bullitt County Deed Book 27, Pages 47-48

This deed made and entered into this eighth day of August 1887 between Nathan Morrow (widower) of Louisville, Kentucky, party of the first part and Pias Metcalf also of Louisville, Kentucky party of the second part.

Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $3000 paid and to be paid as follows: $1084.70 in cash, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, and for the remaining sum the second party has executed and delivered his three promissory notes of said date each for the sum of $638.43 and due and payable respectively in one, two and three years with interest at 6% per annum from date until paid, a lien being retained on said land to secure the payment of said notes, has bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant and convey unto the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns the following described land lying and being in the county of Bullitt, state of Kentucky, on the waters of Cedar Creek and bounded as follows.

Beginning at the mouth of Whitledge's Spring Branch on Cedar Creek and running thence North 52° West 238 poles to a stake on a small ravine near the brick church (Little Flock), thence South 67 1/2° West 24 poles to a double Sycamore one part now cut off standing near the bank of Sanders' Run, thence down the run South 17° West 16 poles, thence South 60° West 12 1/2 poles, thence South 40° West 22.8 poles, thence South 70° East 10 poles to a stone on said run and claimed by Struthers as the corner, thence South 35° West 4 poles to a stake in Thomas Harden's old line, thence with the same South 54° East 224.8 poles to a stake and loose stone (5.2 poles from a beech Hardin's old corner), corner to Whitledge's 70 acres, thence with the same North 35° East 56 poles to the middle of Cedar Creek, thence up the same with the meanders South 83° East 24 1/2 poles, thence North 36° E 16 1/2 poles to the beginning containing 127 1/2 acres, and being the same property conveyed to first party by Wesley Phelps and wife on 27th February 1877 as per deed recorded in Deed Book V, pages 202-203, clerk's office, Bullitt County Court.

To have and to hold said land together with all the appurtenances thereto belonging unto the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty.
