Wesley Phelps to Nathan Morrow - 127.5 Acres on Cedar Creek

On 27 Feb 1877, Wesley Phelps and wife sold 127.5 acres located on Cedar Creek, near the Little Flock church to Nathan Morrow, as shown below. Morrow would later sell the tract to Pias Metcalf.

This indenture entered into the 27th day of February 1877 between Wesley Phelps and Nancy, his wife of the first part and Nathan Morrow of the second part, all of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky.

Witness that for and in consideration of $1800, $600 paid in money, $600 to be paid in two years with interest, and $600 to be paid in three years with interest, they the parties of the first part have granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the party of the second part, his heirs &c the following described tract of land in Bullitt County on the waters of Cedar Creek, being the same conveyed to Wesley Phelps by chancery commissioner by deed recorded, in Deed Book T, page 8 of Bullitt County Court and described as follows.

Beginning at the mouth of Whitledge's Spring Branch on Cedar Creek and running thence North 52° West 238 poles to a stake on a small ravine near the brick church (Little Flock), thence South 67 1/2° West 24 poles to a double Sycamore one part now cut off standing near the bank of Sanders' Run, thence down the run South 17° West 16 poles, thence South 60° West 12 1/2 poles, thence South 40° West 22.8 poles, thence South 70° East 10 poles to a stone on said run and claimed by Struthers as the corner, thence South 35° West 4 poles to a stake in Thomas Harden's old line, thence with the same South 54° East 224.8 poles to a stake and loose stone (5.2 poles from a beech Hardin's old corner), corner to Whitledge's 70 acres, thence with the same North 35° East 56 poles to the middle of Cedar Creek, thence up the same with the meanders South 83° East 24 1/2 poles, thence North 36° E 16 1/2 poles to the beginning containing 127 1/2 acres.

To have and to hold the same with the appurtenances and improvements thereon unto the party of the second part, his heirs &c with covenants of general warranty and in fee simple.
