On 16 Jan 1858, Henry Craycroft, now in Jefferson County, sold this part of Shepherdsville lot 25 to N. W. Gatton. Then on 4 Nov 1865, Gatton sold it to R. J. Meyler who next sold it to E. H. McCormick on 17 Jan 1866. Later, C. E. and E. E. McCormick deeded it to M. A. McCormick who then sold it to E. W. Hall on 6 Sep 1887. Then, following the death of E. W. Hall, his heirs sold it back to C. E. and E. E. McCormick on 14 Nov 1892.

This indenture made and entered into the 17th day of January 1866 between R. J. Meyler of Bullitt County, state of Kentucky of the first part and. E. H. McCormick of same county and state of the second part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $250 cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the party of the first part has this day granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents does convey unto the party of the second part and unto his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty, one house and lot in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, formerly occupied by H. J. Craycroft. The lot commences at a point halfway between said shop or house and the storehouse now or recently owned by W. J. Colbow, running back to the fence, dividing said lot from the lot formerly owned by R. H. Field and William T. Applegate, thence with said division line east, till it strikes the line of the eastern wall of said house or shop extending to said fence, thence with said last named line to the street, thence with the street to the beginning.
To have and to hold the same to him and his heirs forever.
The above house and lot is the same purchased by R. J. Meyler of N. W. Gatten and wife by deed of date 4th November 1865 and recorded in deed book P, page 543-4, Bullitt County Court Clerk's office.
