M. A. McCormick to E. W. Hall - Part of Shepherdsville Lot 25

On 16 Jan 1858, Henry Craycroft, now in Jefferson County, sold this part of Shepherdsville lot 25 to N. W. Gatton. Then on 4 Nov 1865, Gatton sold it to R. J. Meyler who next sold it to E. H. McCormick on 17 Jan 1866. Later, C. E. and E. E. McCormick deeded it to M. A. McCormick who then sold it to E. W. Hall on 6 Sep 1887. Then, following the death of E. W. Hall, his heirs sold it back to C. E. and E. E. McCormick on 14 Nov 1892.

This deed made and entered into the sixth day of September 1887 by and between M. A. McCormick of the first part and E. W. Hall of the second part, both of Bullitt County Kentucky.

Witnesseth that the first party for and in consideration of the sum of $50 cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has granted, bargained and sold, and hereby sells, conveys and delivers to the E. W. Hall, his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty, one undivided half of the following lot of ground situated in Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky.

Beginning at a stake on Second Street at the center of an alley running thence north 76 1/2 feet to the line of Sue E. Bowman, thence with her line east 27 feet to the line of F. P. Straus, thence with his line south 76 1/2 feet to Second Street, thence west with Second Street 27 feet to the beginning, being the same property conveyed by C. E. and E. E. McCormick and F. P. Straus and wife to the first party by deeds dated on the 29th day of August 1887 and the 5th day of September 1887 respectively.

To have and to hold the undivided half of said lot of ground to the said E. W. Hall, his heirs and assigns forever. Witness the hand of the grantor this the 6th day of September 1887.
