Archibald Magruder Heirs to C. R. Samuels & wife - 84 Acres

Following the death of Archibald Magruder, two of his daughters, with their husbands, brought suit in county court to have his land divided amongst his children. The court appointed three commissioners to go on the land and make a fair division for the six heirs. Their report to the court was recorded in the county will book. The part allotted to C. R. Samuels and wife is described below.

In November 1871, Mary E. Samuels, widow of C. R. Samuels, sold this 84 acres, and an additional 100 acres deeded to her by the heirs of her two deceased brothers, to Charles M. Schaffer and A. P. LeGros.
