On 5 Sep 1857, John Hoskins sold 122 acres along Crooked Creek to William Shawler, as shown below. It appears that Shawler likely sold the same farm to Richard Brashear on 31 Jan 1860.

This indenture made this 5th day of September 1857 between John Hoskins and Catharine his wife of the first part and William Shawler of the second part, all of Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $810 cash in hand paid, have granted, bargained and sold unto te said William Shawler the following tract of land in Bullitt County on Crooked Creek, being a part of the 5000 acres patented to Cuthbert Harrison, and bounded as follows.
Beginning at three hickories, corner to Luke Howlett, and running with his line N 82° E 102 poles to a white oak, elm and beech on the east side of Crooked Creek; thence up said creek with its meanders N 55° E 34 poles, S 85° E 24 poles, S 64° E 24 poles, S 46° E 30 poles to Masden's corner on the bank of said creek; thence S 60° E 44 poles to Masden's or Boots' corner of three beeches on the bank of said creek; thence N 18 poles, N 36° E 30 poles, N 53° W 8 poles, N 40° W 22 poles, N 55° W 10 poles to a double sycamore and two elms on the bank of the aforesaid creek; thence with the division line between lots No. 1 & 2 N 57° W to a beech, oak and hickory; thence S 23° W 152 poles to the beginning, containing 122 acres more or less.
To have and to hold said tract of land above described together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said William Shawler and his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the same in any manner whatever, said land being same deeded to the said Hoskins and wife by C. Harrison's heirs.
