James Halbert to Thomas Q. Wilson - Shepherdsville Lot 7

Lot 7 (new plan) was one of the lots that James Halbert purchased from the town trustees. He sold it to Thomas Q. Wilson, as shown below. Willson next sold the lot to Abraham Field Jr.


Bullitt County Deed Book D, Pages 106-107

This indenture made the 13th day of April 1818 between James Halbert of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Thomas Q. Wilson, of the same county and state of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said James Halbert for and in consideration of the sum of $45 current money of said state to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said Thomas Q. Wilson, and his heirs forever a certain half acre lot in the town of Shepherdsville known by its number in the new plan thereof seven, and one of the same lots which was on the third day of April last conveyed by the trustees of said town to the said James Halbert and duly recorded in the clerk's office of the Bullitt County Court.

To have and to hold the said lot or parcel of land, number seven as aforesaid, together with all the appurtenances to the same belonging unto the said Thomas Q. Wilson and his heirs to and for his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said James Halbert for himself and his heirs doth covenant, promise and agree to and with the said Thomas Q. Wilson, and his heirs &c that the before described lot number seven and appurtenances he will and his heirs shall forever warrant and defend to him the said Thomas Q. Wilson and his heirs against the claim or claims of all other persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said James Halbart hath set his hand and seal the day and year just above mentioned.
