James Halbert to James Alexander - Shepherdsville Lot 5

In a Bullitt Circuit Court decree against James Halbert, the court ordered that his interest in "4 acres of ground, part of 23 acres adjoining the town of Shepherdsville, and a half-acre lot No. 5 in said town" be sold to pay his debt.

William Caldwell, deputy sheriff, exposed the parcels to sale and James Alexander was the purchaser, as shown in the deed shown below which is dated 15 Jun 1822.
