On 25 Jan 1845, George W. Maraman sold several tracts to his brother Henry O. Maraman that were located near Shepherdsville. These tracts had been deeded to George by his siblings as part of their inheritance from their father, Francis Maraman.

This indenture made this 25th day of January 1845 between George W. Maraman and Susan Maraman his wife of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky of one part and Henry O. Maraman, of the same place of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said George W. Maraman, for and in consideration of the sum of $500 in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he said George W. Maraman has sold and by these presents does sell and convey unto the said H. O. Maraman the following described tracts of land in Bullitt County, Kentucky, towit.
One tract of four acres on the left of the road from Shepherdsville to Bardstown opposite said H. O. Maraman's house, bounded as follows: Beginning on the division line of the lands of said H. O. and G. W. Maraman on the said road on a walnut on the branch that runs through the field into the river west of said H. O. Maraman's house, and run from thence northwardly at right angles from the said line towards the river 35 poles and a little more than seven-tenths poles, and run from thence eastwardly at right angles the same distance, and thence southwardly at right angles to the divisional line aforesaid the same distance, and thence the same distance westwardly with the divisional line aforesaid to the beginning, including said four acres in a square as aforesaid, with its appurtenances. The consideration of said four acres is $100, part of said $500.
Also said George W. Maraman sells to said H. O. Maraman, the following other tracts of land on the river, to wit. All the lands above Shepherdsville on the north side of the river deeded to said George W. Maraman by said Francis Maraman's heirs, deed dated the 21st April 1842, recorded in Deed Book I page 507, supposed to contain 70 acres more or less, being the same lands conveyed by Adam Shepherd's heirs to Francis Maraman by deed dated 12 July 1828, recorded in Deed Book G, page 2, and also conveyed to said Francis Maraman by Matthew Wilson by deed dated 13th of June 1834 in Deed Book H, page 82.
The tracts were sold by said Francis Maraman's heirs to said George W. Maraman by said deed of 21st of April 1842 aforesaid, and are in four parcels bounded as follows, to wit.
One tract contains 6 3/4 acres bounded as follows. Beginning at John McGee's southwestwardly corner where a sugar tree and beech stood on the bank of Salt River, thence South 58° West 44 poles to an ash on the bank of the river, corner to a 19 acre tract, thence North 6 1/2° East 64 poles to a stake in McGee's line, thence with said line South 35° East 50 poles to the beginning.
The said 19 acres bounded as follows: Beginning on a large beech on the bank of Salt River, one of the corners of the town of Shepherdsville, thence North 6 1/2° East 17 1/2 poles to a stake, thence South 83 1/2° East 80 poles to a stake, thence South 6 1/2° West 33 poles to Salt River, thence with the meander thereof to point opposite the beginning and thence to the beginning.
The tract of 7 acres, 3 quarters, 8 poles is bounded as follows: Beginning at a stake two poles from the southeast corner of the Seminary lot in Shepherdsville, thence South 83 1/2° East 54 poles to a stake in Scott's line so-called, thence with said line North 6° East 5 poles 10 links to a stake in Pope's line, thence with Pope's line North 36° West 28 poles two links to a stake in said line, thence North 83 1/2° West 34 poles two links to the northeast corner of the Seminary lot, thence with the Seminary line South 6 1/2° West 27 poles 3/10 to the beginning.
The tract of 8 acres, 2 quarters, 36 3/4 poles is bounded as follows: Beginning on East Street in Shepherdsville, 24 feet from the northwest corner of the Seminary lot, thence South 83 1/2° East 58 poles to a stake in Pope's line, thence with said line North 36° West 46 poles 8 links to a stake on East Street, thence South 6 1/2° West 32 1/4 poles to the beginning.
The last described lands lay on the north side of Salt River and include the ferry on the river and row to the same.
And in addition to these lands, said George W. Maraman sells and conveys to said H. O. Maraman on the south side of Salt River opposite the ferry and to include the ferry landing on the south bank of said river the quantity of one acre twice as long on the river from low water mark as out from it; and also said George W. Maraman conveys said H. O. Maraman the road the width named by court from the ferry each way to the public road, as named in the orders of the Bullitt County Court establishing said ferry roads to the ferry on each side of said river. The consideration for the ferry and ferry landings and roads to the same is $50.
And said George W Maraman conveys to said H. O. Maraman, the following other piece of land on the north side of Salt River conveyed by William Pope to Francis Maraman, now deceased, by deed dated 20th October 1832, recorded Deed Book G page 420, and conveyed to said G. W. Maraman by said Francis Maraman's heirs by deed of 21 April 1842 as aforesaid, containing 7 acres and bounded as follows.
Beginning at a stake at the intersection of William Pope's line with Scott's line, thence with Pope's line North 36° West 75 3/4 poles to a stake on East Street of the town of Shepherdsville, being a corner of said Maraman's 8 acre 2 quarters 36 3/4 poles tract, thence North 6 1/2° East 15 poles to a stake in McGee's line, thence with McGee's line South 35° East 75 3/4 poles to a stake in said line, Scott's corner, thence with Scott's line South 6 1/2° West 15 poles to the beginning.
The consideration of the whole lands here conveyed sold his $500 as aforesaid. And said George W. Maraman covenants and agrees to and with said H. O. Maraman that he the said George W. Maraman will and his heirs &c shall warrant and forever defend the lands and appurtenances here sold unto the said Henry O. Maraman and to his heirs forever against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever by this deed in fee simple with general warranty.
