On 17 Sep 1811, Robert Breckinridge, Worden Pope, and William Pope Jr. sold five tracts of land to Joseph Brooks. These tracts were all parts of the 21,000 acres claimed by John Larue's heirs. Together the five tracts totaled 2,624 acres of land. Breckinridge and the two Popes obtained this land from the heirs of John Larue.

This indenture made this seventeenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and eleven between Robert Breckinridge and Worden Pope and Elizabeth T. Pope his wife of the county of Jefferson and state of Kentucky, and William Pope Jr. and Cynthia his wife of Bullitt County in the same state of the one part, and Joseph Brooks of the said county of Bullitt of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Robert, Worden and William for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred and forty six dollars and seventy five cents current money of the United States to the said Robert in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Joseph, his heirs and assigns, five tracts or parcels of land lying and being in the said county of Bullitt on Floyd's Fork and the waters thereof, being part of 21,000 acres patented in the name of John Larue's heirs and part of 3,000 acres entered in the name of the said Robert Breckinridge; the first of the tracts hereby bargained and sold contains seven hundred and thirty six acres and three quarters of an acre, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a hickory, mape and white walnut standing on the bank of Floyd's Fork, the beginning corner of the said 21,000 acres, thence with a line thereof N 49° W 320 poles, thence S 78° W 180 poles to a gum, walnut and elm stump in John Dunn's field by the side of the old trace, corner to said Larue's 21,000 acres, thence with another of Larue's lines N 20° E 558 poles to the westwardly line of Edward Williams' 400 acre settlement, thence with Williams and Robert Shanklin's lines South 458 poles to a sugar tree, red oak and buckeye, the southwardly corner of Shanklin's preemption, thence with another of Shanklin's lines East 520 poles to Brooks Run, thence down the said run, keeping in the middle thereof, 160 poles to Floyd's fork, thence down said fork with the meanders thereof 290 poles to the beginning.
The second tract contains seven hundred and thirty eight acres and three quarters, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit. Begionning at a white oak and three elms on the old tract leading from the fishpools to Bullitt's Lick, they being the beginning corners of the said 3000 acres, running thence with Breckinridge's line S 79° E 340 poles to a line of Thomas Saunders' 500 acres, thence with Saunders' line S 20° E 90 poles to his corner of three elms, thence with another of Saunders' line N 70° E 105 poles to a run coming down through said Saunders' plantation, thence down said run with the meanders thereof 66 poles to a line of Thomas Hardin's 400 acres, thence with Hardin's line S 35° W 100 poles to a stone marked T.H. C.W.T. S. corner to said Hardin and also to John Beckwith's land, thence with said Beckwith's line S 35° W 50 poles to his corner a red oak and water beech in a line of Edward Williams' preemption, thence with Williams' line South 257 poles to three beeches in said line, corner to Isaac Hornbeck and George Reed, thence with their line West 512 poles to Larue's line, thence with Larue's line N 20° E 6 poles to Beesley's line, thence with that line East 314 poles to a poplar, mulberry and southeastwardly corner to Beesley's preemption, thence with another of his lines North 450 poles to a white oak and two elms northeastwardly corner to Beesley, thence with another of his lines West 211 poles to the old trace leading from the fishpools to Bullitt's Lick, thence along said trace N 14° E 30 poles to the Beginning.
The third tract contains one hundred and twenty five acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit. Beginning at the junction of the lines of Thomas Saunders' 500 acres and Robert Breckinridge's 3000 acres, running thence with Breckinridge's line N 79° W 160 poles to intersect a line run from the northwestwardly corner of David Brooks, it being the course of his line continued, thence with said line N 17 1/2° E 800 pooles to a black gum, beech and three hickories in Thomas Saunders' line, thence with said line S 20° E 241 poles to the beginning.
The fourth tract contains three hundred and fifty two and one half acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit. Beginning at a white oak marked R.B. and three lems on the old trace leading from Bullitt's Lick to the fishpools, being the beginning corner of Robert Breckinridge's 3000 acres, running thence along said trace N 30° E 44 poles, N 1° E 100 poles, N 10° E 110 poles, N 7° E 26 poles to the most northwestwardly boundary of Garbriel Jones' 2500 acres, thence with Jones' line East 145 poles to the line of Thomas Saunders' 500 acres, thence with Saunders' line S 20° E 128 poles to a black gum, beech and two hickories where the line extends from David Brooks' northwardly corner intersects said Saunders' line, thence with said extended line S 17 1/2° W 200 poles to Breckinridge's line, thence with said line N 79° W 173 poles to the beginning.
The fifth tract contains six hundred and seventy one acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows, to wit. Beginning at a white oak at Joseph Brooks' Spring, running thence with Larue's line S 20° W 252 poles to southwestwardly boundary of Beesley's settlement and preemption, thence with Beesley's line East 314 poles to the southwestwardly corners of poplar, mulberry and sugar tree, thence with another of said Beesley's lines North 450 poles to his corner of a white oak and two elms, thence with another of Beesley's lines West 211 poles to the old trace leading from the fishpools to Bullitt's Lick, thence along said trace S 14° W 34 poles, S 2° W 41 poles, S 28° E 72 poles, S 24° W 22 poles, S 14° W 62 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said five tracts or parcels of land with all the appurtenances unto the said Joseph Brooks, his heirs and assigns, to his and their only proper use and behoof forever, and the said Robert, Worden and William do covenant and agree to and with the said Brooks his heirs and assigns that they will and their heirs, executors and administrators shall warrant and defend forever te said tracts or parcels of land with all the appurtenances unto the said Brooks, his heirs and assigns, against the said Robert, Worden and William and their heirs and all persons claiming by from or under them or either of them and against Conrad Walters and Margaret his wife and their heirs and all person claiming under them or either of them, but against no other person or persons whatever or in any other manner whatever. In witness whereof the said Robert Breckinridge, Worden Pope and Elizabeth his wife, and William Pope Jr. and Cynthia his wife have hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year first written.
