In 1849, Richard H. Field sold one Shepherdsville lot (#34) to John Rickerson. This was part of Field's purchase from the estate of Richard P. Simmons, deceased.

This indenture made this 17th day of November in the year 1849 between Richard H. Field of one part and John Rickerson of the other part, both of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $24 in hand paid to the said Field by the said Rickerson, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he the said Field hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Rickerson one half acre lot in the town of Shepherdsville known by its number in the new plan of said towns as No. 34. To have and to hold the said lot with the appurtenances to him the said Rickerson and his heirs forever.
And the said Field doth covenant and agree to and with the said Rickerson that he will and his heirs shall forever warrant and defend the title to said lot unto the said Rickerson, his heirs &c against the claim of all persons claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said Field hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written. (signed) Richard H. Field.
