In the Circuit Court suit of Benjamin Summers against John Beckwith's heirs, on 29 Aug 1827 the court deeded to Sarah Beckwith the northern halves of Shepherdsville lots 23-24 along with a 25 by 40 foot section of the southern part of lot 23, as described below.

This indenture made this 29th day of August 1827 between George F. Pope, commissioner appointed by a decree of the Bullitt circuit court in the case of Benjamin Summers against John Beckwith's heirs, reference being thereto had will more fully appear, of the one part and Sarah Beckwith and William T Yateman of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said George F. Pope, commissioner aforesaid, for and in consideration of the said decree and the payment of the purchase money have granted, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said, Sarah Beckwith and William T Yatemam, their heirs &c the northern half of lot number 24 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, and the northern half of lot number 23, and all that part of said lot 23 in said town on the southwest end of the said northern half of said lot number 23, which parts of lots hereby conveyed are the same which were on the second day of April 1825 conveyed to the said John Beckwith by Jonathan Gore Jr. and wife, reference being thereto had will more fully appear.
To have and to hold the said northern half of lots No. 24 and 23, being one quarter of an acre each and that part of said lot number 23 on which the stable stands, being 25 by 40 feet with all the improvements thereon and thereto appertaining unto them the said Sarah Beckwith and William T. Yateman, their heirs &c and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever, free and clear of and from all right and title of dower or other incumbrance, and the said George F. Pope, commissioner as aforesaid, for and in behalf of the heirs of John Beckwith dec'd doth covenant and agree to and with the said Sarah Beckwith and William T. Yateman, their heirs &c that the said heirs will forever warrant and defend the said parts of lots hereby conveyed to the said Sarah Beckwith and William T. Yateman from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever.
In testimony whereof the said George F. Pope, commissioner as aforesaid, hath hereto set his hand and seal on the day and year before written.
