Sarah Beckwith to Henry Robb - Parts of Shepherdsville Lots 23-24

On 18 May 1835, Sarah Beckwith's executors sold parts of Shepherdsville lots 23-24 to Henry Robb as shown below.

This indenture made this 18th day of May 1835 between John B. Summers and Matthew Wilson, executors of the last will and testament of Sarah Beckwith, deceased, and William T. Yeatman of the one part and Henry Robb of Jefferson County and state of Kentucky of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said John B. Summers and Matthew Wilson, executors as aforesaid, and the said William T. Yeatman for and in consideration of the sum of $620 current money of the United States to the executors in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Henry Robb the following parts of lots number 23 and 24 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, (to-wit): the northern half of said lot number 23 and a part of said lot lying adjoining the said half in the southwest end thereof, being 25 feet by 40 feet out of which the stable lately occupied by Francis Maraman stands. Also the northern half of said lot number 24, being the same parts of lots which were conveyed by George F. Pope, commissioner for and on behalf of John Beckwith's heirs, to the said Sarah Beckwith and William T. Yeatman by deed duly recorded in the clerk's office of the Bullitt Circuit Court, reference being thereto had will more fully appear.

To have and to hold the said described property with all the appurtenances thereto belonging unto him the said Henry Robb, his heirs and assigns, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said John B. Summers and Matthew Wilson, executors as aforesaid, and the said William T. Yeatman do covenant and agree to and with the said Henry Robb that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said parts of lots described as aforesaid to the said Henry Robb, his heirs and assigns from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said John B. Summers and Matthew Wilson, executors as aforesaid, and the said William T. Yeatman hereto set their hands and seals the day and year before written.
