This deed appears to include all of lot 26, and perhaps a bit of lot 25, but that is not yet certain.
Bullitt County Deed Book H, Pages 224-225
This indenture made and entered into this 21st day of August in the year 1835 between Sydney S. Alexander of the County of Bullitt of the first part, Thomas Q. Wilson of the City of Louisville, County of Jefferson of the second part and Henry T. Craycroft of the County of Bullitt of the third part all of the state of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $700 by the said Craycroft to the said Alexander in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said Alexander hath bargained and sold, and by these presents doth sell and convey unto the said Craycroft a certain lot or parcel of land situate in the town of Shepherdsville and county of Bullitt, being the lot and improvements now occupied by the said Alexander consisting of one half acre conveyed by the collector of said town of Shepherdsville to the said Sydney and afterwards bought of the said Sydney by the said Wilson and by him improved, but the same was never conveyed to the said Wilson, and all that part of the lot purchased by said Wilson from the heirs of Abner Chalfant which is included in the enclosure made by said Wilson, and as the same now stands laid off so as to include a small piece convey or agreed to be conveyed to William R. Grigsby for a stable lot, which half acre lot is numbered according to the plan No. 26 and the lot bought of Chalfant's heirs is laid off so as to adjoin the same.
And the said Alexander having repurchased the said half acre lot from the said Wilson and having also purchased from the said Wilson that part of the Chalfant property as before described, and has never received a conveyance for the same.
To have and to hold the said lot of ground with the improvements to him the said Craycroft his heirs &c to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Alexander, for himself, his heirs &c hereby covenants to and with the said Craycroft that he will and his heirs shall forever warrant and defend the said lot with the appurtenances to him the said Craycroft, his heirs &c, against the claim or claims of him he said Alexander his heirs &c. And all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the same by through from or under him and also against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatever.
And the said Wilson hereby covenants to and with the said Alexander that he will warrant and defend that part of the said lot purchased from the heirs of Chalfant to him the said Alexander, his heirs &c against the claim of all and every person or persons whatever. And he hereby forever releases to the said Craycroft all an every claim which he has to the half acre lot aforesaid which is done at the request of said Alexander and in satisfaction of a bond for that purpose given. In witness whereof that said Alexander and Wilson have hereunto set their hands and seals this date above.
