Pic 17021: Bullitt County Bank, Shepherdsville.

Pic 17025: Downtown Shepherdsville. Aerial view. Bullitt County Bank; Courthouse; Tom Givhan office building behind courthouse; white house between the bank and the library was home of Tot and Irene Carroll. Selective Service (draft) office was in the Bullitt County Bank. The white roofed building was at one time a Western Auto store. The building just to the left was once the office of the Pioneer News.

Pic 17031: Duvall's Oil Service Lebanon Junction. This was taken before 1954. It had been known as Hocker's well before 1961.It was Hwy 61 at the top of a hill which indicated you were in Lebanon Jct. You turned right at that corner to get to downtown LJ. If you turned left, there was Dr. Sloans house - a mansion by the standards of the time. Across the street was the J. D. Pike house which later became Quick's Funeral Home.

Pic 17433: Bullitt County Bank on corner. The house just behind the Bullitt County Bank was the T.C. Carroll house. Ridgway Public Library at top of photo, below railroad track.

Pic 17435: Dr. Moser's office on the left. Building on right was Bullitt County Feeder Supply, owned by Bob Harned. Shot is from porch of Taylor and Pike office (formerly Katherine Rennison residence) at corner of Doctor's Alley (later Beech St.) Flood did go on to get into Taylor and Pike about three feet.

Pic 17490: Horse parade in Shepherdsville. This was known as The Trail Ride, of which the Sheriff’s Posse was a part. The Trail Ride traveled annually for a few years from the Shepherdsville Animal Auction House to the State Fairgrounds in Louisville.

The Bullitt County History Museum, a service of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is located in the county courthouse at 300 South Buckman Street (Highway 61) in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The museum, along with its research room, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday appointments are available by calling 502-921-0161 during our regular weekday hours. Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity. Contributions and bequests are deductible under section 2055, 2106, or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code.
