Joseph H. Wright's Children to James Douglas Wright - 255 Acres

On 10 Dec 1890, three of Joseph H. Wright's children sold their interest in the remainder of their father's farm to their brother James Douglas Wright as shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this the tenth day of December 1890 by and between B. M. Rivers and Fannie E. Rivers his wife, and Annie S. Wright and S. Virge Wright and George D. Wright, all of the city of Louisville, county of Jefferson and state of Kentucky of the first part and J. D. Wright of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky.

Witnesseth that the parties of the first part for and consideration of the sum of $6000 cash in hand, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has this day sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release and convey unto the second party their entire undivided interest in and to the lands lying and being in Bullitt County, Kentucky on the waters of Salt River on both sides of the Bardstown and Louisville Turnpike said land formerly owned by the father of the aforesaid first and second parties said farm originally contained 408 acres, more or less, but out of said 408 acres there were sold to William Jasper the sum of 154 3/4 acres (see deed in Bullitt County clerk's office) leaving the sum of 255 acres, more or less, the aforesaid J. D. Wright of the second party is to own the remaining 255 acres, more or less, in fee simple free of all encumbrances. For a full description and boundary of said lands see deeds to Joseph H. To have and to hold the same with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anyway appertaining thereto unto the second party, his heirs and assigns, executors, administrators forever with covenant of general warranty.

In testimony whereof the aforesaid first parties B. M. Rivers & Fannie E. Rivers his wife, and Annie S. Wright and S. Virgie Wright & George D. Wright hath hereunto set their hands and seals this day and date. (signed by grantors)
