On 3 Oct 1888, James Douglas Wright, F. Emma Rivers, Sarah Virginia Wright, Annie S. Wright, and George Doup Wright, children of the deceased Joseph H. Wright, together sold two parts (totaling 154.25 acres) of his farm to W. T. Jasper, as shown below. As George was still a minor, a separate bond was given to Jasper to guarantee that George would sign the deed when he reached this 21st birthday on 14 Mar 1889, as shown further below.

This indenture made this the 3rd day of October 1888 by and between J. D. Wright & Lille Wright his wife of Bullitt County, state of Kentucky, B. M. Rivers & F. E. Rivers his wife, S. V. Wright, Annie S. Wright and G. D. Wright (minor) of Jefferson County, state aforesaid of the first part, and W. T. Jasper and Louisa Jasper his wife of the state aforesaid and county of Bullitt of the second part.
Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $3886.50 to them paid as follows, $3000 cash in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, $200 on the 3rd day of October 1889, $200 on the 3rd day of October 1890, $200 on the 3rd day of October 1891, $200 on the 3rd day of October 1892, and $86.50 on the 3rd day of October 1893, all bearing legal interest from date of this deed, see notes of even date with deed, hath this day bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm unto the party of the second part two certain tracts of land lying and being in Bullitt County, Kentucky on the waters of Salt River and known as part of the Joseph Wright farm.
First tract - bottom land and bounded as follows. Beginning at two elms on the bank of Whitaker Run, thence down said run with it meanders to Salt River, thence down said river with its meanders at low water mark 160 poles to two sycamores on the bank of the river, corner to land deeded by T. H. O'Bryan to Joseph Wright, thence with line of said land North 20° for 17 3/4° East 34 poles to a stone, corner to the Harmon tract and with said Harmon's line same course 57 poles in all 91 poles to a stake in said line, thence South 88° East 65 poles to the beginning containing 88 1/2 acres.
Second tract - line on the east side of the Louisville and Bardstown Turnpike Road bounded as follows. Beginning at a stake in Lewis' line of his upper survey of 1000 acre patent and corner to Mary J. Swearingen's land laid off to her in the Joseph Lloyd division, thence with her line being the Lewis line South 9° East 49 poles to a stake and Rolph's line of land bought of Henry Crist, thence with the same South for South 2° East 25 poles to a stake on the east side of two black oaks, thence South 69° West 58 poles to two popular at the wire fence, thence with the wire fence South 67° West 35 3/4 poles to the end of the wire fence on the east edge of the turnpike, thence with the edge of the turnpike, North 26° West 53 2/3 poles, North 14 1/2° West 27 poles to a stake, thence to the beginning, the course in the old deed called North 73 3/4° East 146 1/2 poles, the distance measured in this survey containing 65 3/4 acres.
To have and to hold unto the said W. T. Jasper and Louisa Jasper his wife, their heirs, assigns and administrators forever, and the said party of the first part hereby covenant and agree that they will and their heirs shall forever warrant and defend unto the said party of the second part the title to the above described lands against the claim or claims of all persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same and that the said G. D. Wright (minor) shall well and truly sign this deed when he attains his majority.
In testimony whereof the party of the first part hath hereunto set their hands this the date above written and it is hereby understood that the said W. T. Jasper and Louisa Jasper his wife is granted the right of way to and from the lands herein conveyed, said right of way consists of 15 feet starting from the county road at Brinton Harris' corner, thence with his line to the lands herein conveyed.
