On 19 Nov 1827, William W. Simmons and Nathan Miles sold their title to part of Shepherdsville lot 41 to Matthew and Samuel Wilson. Miles had obtained title to the tract in a tax collection sale. It had been the property of James Holmes prior to that. Then on 15 Jul 1829 the tract was sold to Jonathan Gore Jr., as shown below.

The indenture made this 15th day of July 1829 between Matthew Wilson and Samuel Wilson under the firm of M. & S. Wilson of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Jonathan Gore Jr. of the same county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said M. & S. Wilson, for and in consideration of the sum of $40 to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Jonathan Gore Jr., his heirs &c all that part of a lot of ground in the town of Shepherdsville known on the new plan of said town by the number 41, which is contained in the following boundary, to-wit.
Beginning on a line of that part of said lot which is now owned and occupied by William Congrove as a Hatter's Shop, 72 feet 6 inches or thereabouts from the line of said lot which is on Main Street, thence with Congrove's line, South 83 1/2° East 26 feet 9 inches or thereabouts to a stone in the line dividing said lot No. 41 & lot No. 42, thence with said line North 6 1/2° East 55 feet or thereabouts to a stone, thence North 83 1/2° West 26 feet 9 inches or thereabouts to a stone, thence South 6 1/2° West 55 feet or thereabouts to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said part of lot No. 41 with its appurtenances unto him the said Jonathan Gore Jr., his heirs, executors and administrators, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said M. & S. Wilson for themselves, their heirs &c do covenant and agree to and with the said Jonathan Gore Jr., his heirs, executors and administrators that they will and their heirs shall forever warrant and defend to the said Jonathan Gore Jr., his heirs, executors and administrators the said described and bounded part of said lot and the appurtenances from themselves and their heirs, and from the claim or claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same. And Martha T. Wilson, wife of the said Matthew Wilson joins in this conveyance for the purpose of conveying and relinquishing, and doth hereby convey and relinquish to the said Jonathan Gore Jr. all her right of dower in the part of the lot hereby conveyed by the said M. & S. Wilson. In testimony whereof the said M. & S. Wilson and Martha T. Wilson hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year before written.
