On 3 Apr 1806, the Shepherdsville Trustees granted a deed to James Scott for lot #1 in the old plan, which would be #60 in the new town plan, as shown below. Scott would sell the lot the Benjamin Summers in 1818.

This indenture made this third day of April in the year of our Lord 1806 between James A. Sturgus, Richard Winn, Edward Frye, John W. Beckwith and Frederic W. S. Grayson, trustees of Shepherdsville of the one part and James Scott of the same town of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar current money of the United States of America paid to Adam Shepherd, upon whose land the said town was established by an act of assembly of 11 December 1793 by virtue of the said act and the several acts relative to towns and in pursuance of the following certificate "To the trustees of Shepherdsville according to the application of James Scott I do hereby certify that I have received the consideration or purchase money for Lot No. 1 in said town cornering on Walnut Street and Water Street, and that you are authorized to made deed to said Scott accordingly. February 14th 1806. Signed and sealed said Adam Shepherd." the said trustees have given, granted, bargained and sold, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said James Scott the said Lot No. 1 in Shepherdsville bounded on the south by Water Street and on the east by Walnut Street with its appurtenances.
To have and to hold the said lot of ground unto the said James Scott, his heirs and assigns, to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever, together with the appurtenances and hereditaments thereunto belonging. In witness whereof the said trustees have hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the date first above written.
