The Troutman brothers, Henry Frank Troutman, Robert Levi Troutman and Charles Fillmore Troutman jointly owned certain real estate, and elected to divide it amongst themselves. In this deed, Charles and Robert deeded the following property to their brother Henry on 16 Apr 1900.
A part of the Shepherdsville town lot known as The Hoglan Hotel property, beginning at the southwest corner of the lot on Main Street and an alley, then north with Main Street 55 feet, then with the line of the lot owned by Troutman Bros east 200 feet to Doctor's Alley, then with the alley south 55 feet to another alley, then west with this alley 200 feet to the beginning on Main Street, being part of the property sold by Richard McConathy to Troutman Bros on 19 Mar 1894.
Also a tract beginning at a beech on Brooks' Run marked JS and JB, then down said run South 6° West 40 poles, then South 41° West 80 poles, then South 47° West 36 poles to the mouth of the run at Floyd's Fork, then down the fork following these courses North 78° West 74 poles, South 66° West 83 poles to the mouth of Blue Lick, then with the creek North 28° West 22 poles, North 42° West 27 poles, North 62° East 42 poles, North 30° East 16 poles, North 70° West 59 poles, then North 5° West 49 poles to a beech in Shanklin's line, then with Shanklin's line East 268 poles to the beginning, containing 169 1/4 acres more or less.

Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity.
