Frederic Travis to Field & Bowman - Shepherdsville Lot 31

On 13 Oct 1832, Frederic Travis deeded Shepherdsville Lot #31 to Abraham Field and Jacob Bowman jointly, as shown below.

This indenture made this 13th day of October 1832 between Frederic Travis and Mary his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and Abraham Field and Jacob Bowman under the firm of Field and Bowman of the same county and state of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Frederic Travis and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $50 current money of the United States to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sol, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Field & Bowman a certain lot of land of half an acre and in and a part of the town of Shepherdsville and known and designated on the new plan of the town of said town by the number 31; being the same lot which was on the __ day of __ 1832 conveyed to the said Travis by H. Wingate, President of the Bank of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

To have and to hold the said lot of land and appurtenances unto them the said Abraham Field and Jacob Bowman (under the firm of Fields & Bowman), their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and to them and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Frederic Travis and Mary his wife covenant and agree to and with the said Abraham Field and Jacob Bowman that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said lot of land described as aforesaid unto them the said Abraham Field and Jacob Bowman, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from themselve and their heirs and the Bank of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and all persons claiming by, from, through or under them and said bank, but not against the claim or claims of any other person or persons claiming or to claim the same.
