John J. Thompson to Joseph Murray - Parts of Shepherdsville Lots 23-24

This adventure made this 13th day of October 1833 between John J Thompson of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Joseph Murray, the same county and state of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said John J. Thompson, for and in consideration of the sum of $375 current money of the United States to him in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Joseph R. Murray two certain pieces or parcels of land, parts of lots numbers 23 and 24 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville.

One piece parts of said lot conveyed by Rufus K. Summers and wife to said Thompson is bounded as follows (to-wit). Beginning at the northwest corner of the jail, thence South 6 1/2° West 40 feet to the North line of Main Cross Street of said town, thence with said street line North 83 1/2° West 83 feet to the said Joseph R. Murray's southeast corner, thence with his line North 6 1/2° East 25 feet to his northeast corner, thence with another of his lines North 83 1/2° West 35 feet to his northwest corner, thence North 6 1/2° East 15 feet, thence South 83 1/2° East 100 feet to the beginning.

The other piece or parcel is part of said lot number 23 and conveyed by Jonathan Gore Sr. and wife to said Thompson and is bounded as follows (to-wit): beginning at the southwest corner of said lot number 23, thence with a line of School Alley North 6 1/2° East 73 feet to a stone at the southwest corner of the stable now occupied by Francis Maraman, thence South 83 1/2° East 39'5" to a stone, thence South 6 1/2° West 73 feet to a stone on Main Cross Street, thence with a line of said street 39'5" to the beginning.

To have, and to hold the said parcels or pieces of land bounded as aforesaid with the appurtenances thereto belong unto him, the said Joseph R. Murray, his heirs, executors and assigns, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said John J. Thompson covenants with the said Joseph R. Murray, that he will and his heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said parcels of ground and appurtenances to him the said Joseph R. Murray, his heirs, executors and assigns from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said John J.
