Thomasson & Summers to Benjamin Stansbury - Shepherdsville Lot 53

On 3 Apr 1833, John J. Thomasson and Noah C. Summers sold Shepherdsville lot 53 to Benjamin Stansbury as shown below.

This indenture made this 3rd day of April 1833 between John J. Thomasson and Noah C. Summers and Margaret C. Summers his wife of the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Benjamin Stansbury of the County of Jefferson, and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Summers and Thomasson for and in consideration of the sum of $10 to them in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, they said Summers and Thomasson have sold and by these presents to convey to said Benjamin Stansbury the following lot in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, viz numbered 53, being the same lot among others conveyed to them by B. Barker, collector of the town tax of Shepherdsville by deed duly recorded dated the 20th day of September 1828 with its appurtenances.

To have and to hold the same to said Stansbury and his heirs free and clear of them said Summers and Thomasson and their heirs. And said grantors covenant with the grantee to warrant said lot of ground to said grantee and his heirs against themselves and heirs, and all claiming under them and their heirs by this their deed of quit claim only. And in case said lot is lost by other claim the grantors and in no event responsible to the grantee for anything. Witness the hands and seals of the grantors.
