This indenture made and entered into this first day of January 1869 by and between John J Thomasson of Trimble County, Kentucky and Lorenzo Hoglan of Bullitt County and state of Kentucky.
Witnesseth that the said John J Thomasson, for and in consideration of the sum of $26 cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, has this day bargained, sold and conveyed by this deed of quit claim unto said Lorenzo Hoglan the following real property to-wit: one half of lots No. 13, 14, 15, & 29 in the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, and the same formerly owned and belonging to Benjamin Stansbury, and being the same lots named and described in deeds from Brookey Barker, collector of tax for the town of Shepherdsville to N. C. Summers and John J. Thomasson, recorded in Deed Book G, pages 18, 19 and 20; the other half of said lots Nos. 13, 14, 15 and 29 having been conveyed by N. C. Summers to R. F. Samuels by deed recorded in Deed Book M, page 88.
To have and to hold said one half of lots No. 13, 14, 15 & 29 aforesaid unto him the said Lorenzo Hoglan and his heirs forever. And the said John J. Thomasson covenants and agrees to warrant and defend the title to said parts of lots aforesaid against himself and his heirs, but not against any other, this being intended as a quit claim deed only.
