On 31 May 1847, John J. Thomasson sold Shepherdsville lot 38 to Benjamin F. Summers as shown below.

This indenture made this 31st day of May 1847 between John J Thomasson and Sally Thomasson, his wife of Trimble County and state of Kentucky of the one part and Benjamin F. Summers of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the other part.
Witness that they said John J Thomasson, and wife for and in consideration of the sum of $500 in five annual payments from 1833, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and secured to be paid, they said Thomasson and wife have sold and conveyed, and by these presents do sell, convey and confirm unto the sad Benjamin F. Summers and to his heirs and assigns the following half acre lot and appurtenances, viz;
Lot number 38 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky, the same whereon said Thomasson built and formerly lived, with its appurtenances.
To have and to hold the said lot No. 38 with its appurtenances unto him the said Benjamin F. Summers and to his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Thomasson and wife covenant and agree to and with the said B. F. Summers to warrant and defend the said lot and appurtenances unto him the said Benjamin F. Summers and to his heirs and assigns against the claims of all persons whatsoever.
