On 11 Oct 1869, following a court-ordered division of land, the children of Samuel and Ann Stallings, by way of a court-appointed commissioner, deeded multiple tracts to the children of their deceased sibling, Samuel J. Stallings. Part of the division included a payment of $240 to the grandchildren; and the fulfillment of a lease agreement between Ann Stallings and J. G. Dickey, as shown below.

This indenture and conveyance made and entered into this 11th day of October 1869 between W. P. Stallings, Woodford Stallings, James Stallings and Tabitha Hough and Austin Hough her husband by Casper Herps, commissioner, parties of the first part and William W. Stallings, James Stallings, Malvina Stallings, Mary Stallings and S. J. Stallings who are the children of Samuel J. Stallings, son and grandchildren of Samuel and Ann Stallings, parties of the second part.
Whereas on the 22nd day of February 1869 a petition was filed in the Bullitt County Court, Kentucky by the children and heirs of Samuel and Ann Stallings for a division of the land owned by them lying in Bullitt County, Kentucky, on the road leading from Shepherdsville to Mt. Washington; and on the 21st day of June said court appointed D. P. Hall, Theophilus Tucker, Wesley Phelps and Casper Herps commissioners for the purpose of making the division between the heirs; and on the third day of August said commissioners met on said land and proceeded and divided the same according to the interest of the parties; and on the 20th day of September said commissioners filed their report of the of the division in court and by mutual consent of all the parties said report was confirmed and ordered to be recorded; and the court appointed Casper Herps a commissioner for and on behalf of the parties of the first part to convey to the parties of the second part their divided interests in said land as laid off and allotted to them by the aforesaid commissioners, and designated in their report of the division as follows.
(First) 18 acres with the following boundary, beginning at two sugar trees, one down, and black walnut stump corner to Richard James, thence with his line South 74 1/2° East 117 3/5 poles to a stake on the north edge of the county road, division corner to the 386 1/2 acre tract allotted to the parties of the first part, thence with their line and the road South 78 3/4° West 118 poles to a stake on the north side of the road in a line of the old Richard Brashear tract of 227 acres, thence with the same North 13 3/4° East 53 3/5 poles to the beginning.
(Second) A 47 acre tract deeded by Richard Brashear and wife to Ann Stallings which is recorded in the Bullitt County Clerk's office, Book O, page 658 & 659, reference of the boundary is hereby referred in said deed.
(Third) Also the two tracts of land, one 70 acres and the other 36 acres, 2 roods, 12 poles deeded by Barak Brashear and wife to Ann Stallings and recorded in the Bullitt County Court Clerk's office, Book O, pages 392 & 393. Reference for the metes and bounds of said two tracts is hereby referred to said deed.
It appearing from said commissioners' report that the parties of the first part named in this deed shall pay to the parties of the second part the sum of $240 due and payable as soon as said report was confirmed; for particulars and explanation said commissioners report is hereby referred to.
It also appearing that the parties of the second part are entitled to the benefit of a contract or lease on a portion of the land above referred to, said contract was formerly made and agreed upon between Ann Stallings and J. G. Dickey; and the commissioners when making the division have agreed that the parties of the first part shall make good said contract provided said Dickie does not comply as stated in said lease. For particulars said commissioners' report is hereby referred to.
To have and to hold the within described tracts of land unto the parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, and against the claim or claims of all other persons, together was said amount of money and lease has set forth. Said commissioner hereby warrants the title &c as fully as he is authorized by law.
