This one deed describes the passage of lot #23 through several hands beginning with Frederic W. S. Grayson who contracted to sell it to Jonathan Gore (Jr.) Along the way, John Beckwith became an owner, but then various court cases muddled the ownership further until part of the lot was deeded to Sarah Beckwith as shown below.

Whereas on the 8th day of April 1814, John W. Beckwith, James Alexander and James Halbert, then trustees of the Town of Shepherdsville in Bullitt County made the following order in their minute book to wit. Ordered that a deed be granted Frederic William Spence Grayson for lot No. 23 according to the present plan of Shepherdsville, he showing vouchers of title thereto, but no title was made pursuant to said order.
And whereas afterwards to wit, on the 4th day of May 1824 the said Frederic W. S. Grayson sold said lot to Jonathan Gore Jr. and executed his bond for a conveyance, which bond the said Jonathan Gore Jr. assigned in part to John Beckwith and afterwards by a decree of the Bullitt Circuit Court in the case of Jonathan Gore Jr. against the executor and heirs of said Grayson George F. Pope, the commissioner therein named conveyed said lot No. 23 to the said Jonathan Gore Jr.
And whereas also by a decree of the Bullitt Circuit Court in the case of Benjamin Summers against John Beckwith's Heirs, George F. Pope, commissioner for and on behalf of said heirs, conveyed to Sarah Beckwith and William T. Yeatman, the northern half of said lot No. 23, and all that part of said lot No. 23 contained in the following boundary, to wit, twenty-five feet by forty feet and to lay on the southwest end of the northern half of said lot, and the said Jonathan Gore Jr. has also conveyed to the said Sarah Beckwith the above described part of said lot, all which will more fully appear by reference to the minute book of said trustees, the record and proceedings of said suits and the deeds herein mentioned.
This indenture therefore made this first day of October 1832 between Robert F. Samuels, John Holsclaw, Rufus K. Summers and Matthew Wilson, trustees of the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky of the one part and Sarah Beckwith of the same county and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said trustees for and in consideration of the premises and the consent in writing of the said William T. Yeatman hath granted, aliened, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Sarah Beckwith, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns the northern half of said lot number 23, and the said part of said lot being 25 feet by 40 feet lying on the southwest end of said northern half.
To have and to hold the said described parts of said lot with all the appurtenances unto her the said Sarah Beckwith and her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns and to her and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever, and the said Robert F. Samuels, John Holsclaw, Rufus K. Summers and Matthew Wilson, trustees as aforesaid covenant and agree that they will warrant and forever defend to the said Sarah Beckwith, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns the said described parts of said lot and appurtenances as far as by law they are bound to warrant and defend and no farther. In witness whereof the said Robert F. Samuels, John Holsclaw, Rufus K. Summers and Matthew Wilson, trustees as aforesaid, hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year within written.
