This indenture made the second day of September 1818 between James Alexander, John Grayham and Charles Jones, trustees of the town of Shepherdsville in the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and James Robinson of the same county and state of the other part.
Whereas the before named James Robinson has produced and provided to the said trustees an order from Adam Shepherd on whose land the said town was established in the following words and figures to wit.

Witness my hand this 31st day of August 1816. (signed) Adam Shepherd."
Now this indenture witnesseth that for and in consideration of the premises, the said trustees do grant, bargain, sell and convey to the said James Robinson and his heirs &c forever the said half acre lot number 80 in the new plan of Shepherdsville together with all the advantages to the same belonging.
To have to hold the said lot of land and the advantages and appurtenances to the same belonging to the said James Robinson and his heirs to and for their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said trustees for themselves and on behalf of their successor do covenant with the said James Robinson that the before described a lot of land they will forever warrant and defend against the claim of the said Adam Shepherd and his heirs and the said trustees and their successor. In witness whereof the said James Alexander, John Grayham and Charles Jones have set their hands and seals the day and date aforesaid. (signed) James Alexander, John Grayham, Charles Jones.
I James Halbert, Clerk of the Bullitt County Court in the state of Kentucky, do certify that on the second day of September 1818 James Alexander, John Grayham and Charles Jones, parties to the foregoing indenture of bargain and sale, personally appeared before me in my office and acknowledge the same to be their act and deed for the purpose therein mentioned; and I do further certify that I have truly recorded the same indenture together with this certificate in my said office. Given under my hand this 26 day of March 1819. (signed) James Halbert
