In this deed the town trustees sold lot 22 (new plan) to Daniel Wilson as shown below.

This indenture made this 27th day of June 1797 between Nacey Brashear, Samuel Crow, Michael Troutman, Frederick Pennybaker, Benjamin Stansbury, Joseph Brooks, and John Essary, trustee for the town of Shepherdsville of the one part and Daniel Wilson of the said town of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said trustees in virtue of the power vested in them by an act of the general assembly passed the 11th day of December 1793 entitled "an act for establishing a town on the lands of Adam Shepherd in the county of Jefferson" and also for and in consideration of the sum of two pounds, three shillings paid to the said Adam Shepherd agreeable to the direction of said act have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents to grant, bargain and sell and convey to the Daniel Wilson a certain lot of ground in the said town known in the plan there of by number 23.
To have and to hold the said lot together with all and every of the appurtenances thereon and thereunto belonging unto the said Daniel Wilson, his heirs and assigns forever, subject nevertheless to the conditions expressed in the aforesaid act of the general assembly. And the said trustees unto the said Daniel Wilson, his heirs and assigns, do hereby warrant and forever defend the aforesaid lot of land from the claim of all and every person or a persons whatsoever.
And further the trustees aforesaid to hereby promise and agree to and with the said Daniel Wilson that they will at any time hereafter at the cost and charges in the law of him the said Daniel Wilson make, do, suffer or cause to be made, done and suffered any further deed or deeds or other writing which he or his counsel learned in the law may advise, devise or required for the better securing the aforesaid bargained and sold lot unto him the said Daniel Wilson, his heirs and assigns forever.
