On 20 Feb 1830, Rufus K. Summers sold Shepherdsville lot 2 to Jacob Marsailles as shown below.

This indenture made an entered into the 20th day of February in the year of Christ 1830 between Rufus K. Summers, and Erastes his wife of Bullitt County, Shepherdsville, Kentucky of the one part and Jacob Marsailles of the county and state aforesaid of the second part.
Witness that whereas heretofore to-it, the collector of the town tax for the town of Shepherdsville devised on and sold as the property of Frederic Pennebaker lot number two in the new plan of the said town for the tax due thereon and Rufus K. Summers became the purchaser thereof and the said collector deeded the same to him as maybe seen by reference to Deed Book G, page 20 in the clerk's office, where the same is now of record.
Now, therefore, the said Rufus K. Summers, for and in consideration of the sum of two dollars by the said Marsaille to the said Summers before the sealing and delivery hereof in hand paid, the receipt whereof he does hereby acknowledge and confess and himself to be fully satisfied and content therewith, does by these presents alien, release, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Jacob Marsaille the said lot of ground No. 2 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville with all and singular the appurtenances thereto belonging; and the said Summers does hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Marsaille that he will forever warrant and defend the title to the said lot No. 2 to him the said Marsaille, his heirs and assigns forever, free and clear of and from the claims of all persons claiming or to claim the same by through or under him the said Rufus K. Summers, but not against the claim of any other person or persons whatever; and it is understood that the said Summers transfers the claim he acquired by purchase of the said collector and no more, and is in no event responsible for the title to the said lot otherwise than above defended, hereby making a quit claim and no more.
In testimony whereof the said Rufus K. Summers and Erastes his wife have hereto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written.
