On 19 Mar 1827, Arthur Quinn sold 161 acres along Cedar Creek and Pennsylvania Run to Benjamin Summers. The deed is transcribed below.

This indenture made this 19th day of March in the year of our Lord 1827 between Arthur Quinn and Mary W. his wife of the County of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Benjamin Summers of the same County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Arthur Quinn and Mary W. his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $750 current money of the United States to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and confirm unto the said Benjamin Summers, his heirs and assigns, all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Bullitt and on the waters of Cedar Creek and Pennsylvania Run containing 161 acres, be the same more or less, and bounded as follows, viz.
Beginning at three white oaks in a glade, thence South 55° East 214 poles to a white oak, lynn and hickory trees, thence South 60° West 180 poles to two white oaks and hickory on the bank of Cedar Creek, thence North 55° West 100 poles to an ash sapling, elm and dogwood, thence North 22° East 170 poles to the beginning.
Together with all and singulars the premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Benjamin Summers, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Arthur Quinn and wife for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators the aforesaid tract of land and premises unto the said Benjamin Summers, his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming by from or under use or our heirs, and no other do and will warrant and forever defend by these presents. In testimony whereof the said Arthur Quinn and wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date above written.
