William Pope Jr., Worden Pope, and Robert Breckinridge sold 20 acres of their claim to the 21,000 acres of John Larue to Benjamin Summers on 4 Nov 1811. This tract lay adjoining tracts claimed by Thomas Owsley and Thomas Hardin.

This indenture made this fourth day of November 1811 between William Pope Jr., Worden Pope, and Robert Breckinridge of the one part, and Benjamin Summers of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William, Worden, and Robert for and in consideration of the sum of $30 to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery of these presents, they the said, William, Warden, and Robert have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, and release, convey and confirm unto the said Benjamin Summers, his heirs, and assigns 20 acres and 8 poles of land situate, lying and being in the County of Bullitt, part of John Larue's 21,000 acre survey, and bounded as follows, viz.
Beginning at the intersection of Owsley's line with a line of Hardin's 400 acre survey, running thence South 35° West 116 poles to two willows, corner to Thomas Wells' tract purchased of Thomas Saunders, thence up the run North 18° West 34 poles, North 50° West 18 poles, North 5° West 16 poles to a honey locust in a line of the tract in which Thomas Saunders now lives, and with a line thereof and a line of Owsley's survey North 70° West 98 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all the appurtenances to the said Benjamin Summers and his heirs or assigns forever. And the said William, Worden and Robert for themselves and their heirs doth covenant and agree that they will warrant and defend the said tract of land to the said Benjamin against themselves and their heirs, and against all persons claiming or to claim the same under the title of John Larue, deceased; but not against the claim or any person claiming the same under any adverse title, it being the intention of the parties that no part of the purchase money is to be refunded in case the said land or any part thereof should be lost or taken away by any adverse claim.
