On 1 Mar 1883, Wesley Phelps sold this 1.5 acre tract to George Weathers. Its location may be seen on the T. C. Carroll plat drawing shown below labeled "Troutman, Deed Book 29, p. 560." This drawing which was made sometime after November 1892, displays the various ownerships of part of Shepherdsville lying north of Third Street today. Weathers' heirs James Weathers and Sidney Weathers would later sell the tract to the Troutman brothers.

This deed made and entered into this first day of March 1883 by and between Wesley Phelps and Nancy F. Phelps his wife of the first part and George Weathers, colored, of the second part.
Witnesseth that the first parties in consideration of the sum $100 cash in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold and hereby convey and deliver unto the second party, his heirs and assigns forever with covenant of general warranty a certain parcel or tract of land near the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Kentucky together with all and singular the improvements thereon; the said lot bounded as follows.
Beginning at a stone northeast corner to 23 acres deeded by Shepherd to Halbert on the west line of Main Street when extended, thence with Halbert's line North 81 1/2° West 27 poles to a stone, corner to Parker's lot and with the same North 8 1/2° East 7 poles, 14 links to a stone corner to Parker, thence South 81 1/2° East 63 4/5 poles to a stake in the east line of Main Street when extended, thence with the same South 8 1/2° West 7 poles, 14 links to a stone opposite the beginning corner, thence North 87 1/2° West 80 feet to the beginning, containing one and a half acres.
