On 24 Jul 1811, Adam Shepherd, in his and his sisters' names, sold 2 acres adjoining the town of Shepherdsville near the corner of Third and Plumb Streets to Frederic Pennebaker. Pennebaker would sell the land to Noah C. Summers and Robert F. Samuels in 1825, as shown below. Then in 1827, Samuels signed over his share of the land to Summers, also shown below.

This indenture made and entered into this 19th day of May and the year of our Lord 1825 between Frederic Pennebaker of the county of Bullitt and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Noah C. Summers and Robert F. Samuels of the same county and state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Frederic Pennebaker for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the said Noah C. Summers and Robert F. Samuels one tract or parcel of land situate adjoining the town of Shepherdsville containing 2 acres more or less and bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning at a stone on the north side of Third Steet and on the east side of Plumb Street of said town, thence with Third Steet South 83 1/2° East 8 poles to a stone, thence North 6 1/2° East 40 poles to a stone, thence North 83 1/2° West 8 poles to a stone, thence South 6 1/2° West 40 poles to the beginning, which said tract of land was conveyed to said Frederic Pennebaker by Adam Shepherd &c by a deed bearing date the 24 July 1811, and recorded in the office of the Bullitt County Court.
To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances to the same belonging to the said N. C. Summers and Robert F. Samuels, their heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of him, the said Frederic, Pennebaker and his heirs &c, and all persons claiming by through or under him or them, but not against any others. Witness the hand and seal of the said Frederic Pennebaker, the date first written. (signed) Frederic Pennebaker

Whereas myself and Noah C. Summers sometime since purchased of Frederick Pennebaker all his right, title and interest of in and to a lot of ground adjoining the town of Shepherdsville containing two acres conveyed to said Pennebaker by Adam Shepherd; now for the consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid I do hereby release and transfer to the said Noah C. Summers my interest of, in and to the lot of ground aforesaid. Said Samuels is not liable in any event to said Summers for the title to said lot. Witness my hand this 17th December 1827.
