William Panebaker obtained this tract that lay along Cedar Creek, south of Salt River, in a patented deed in 1785. He sold it to Samuel Boone in 1807.

This indenture made this 9th day of May in the year of our Lord 1807 between William Panebaker of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky of the one part and Samuel Boone of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Panebaker for and in consideration of the sum of $1800 to him in hand paid by the said Samuel Boone, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and himself therewith fully satisfied, has granted, bargained and sold, aliened and confirmed and buy these presents do grant, bargain & sell, alien and confirm unto the said Samuel Boone, his heirs, executors administrators and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing 250 acres situate in the county and state above mentioned on the waters of Cedar Creek, and bounded as follows, (to wit). Beginning at a white oak marked I F and small maple on the north side of the road leading from Froman's to Whitaker's station, extending thence North 30° West 280 poles crossing a branch to a black oak and dogwood, thence South 60° West 143 poles crossing one of the main branches of Cedar Creek to a dogwood & ash, thence South 30° East 280 poles crossing the said branch and running nearly with the meanders thereof to two chesnut oaks near the head of a drain and under the knobs, thence to the beginning. To have and to hold the said 250 acres of land and all and singular the premises above mentioned, and all and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said Samuel Boone, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of the said Samuel Boone, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said William Panebaker for himself, his heirs, executors and administrators the said 250 acres of land and premises and all and every part and parcel thereof against him and his heirs and assigns, all and every other person or persons whatsoever unto the said Samuel Boone, his heirs and assigns, shall and will warrant and defend by these presents said William Panebaker, his heirs, executors and administrators doth also further covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel Boone that he the said William Panebaker, his heirs &c shall and will at any time or times hereafter whenever thereunto required give, grant, make over and convey any other conveyance that may be lawfully advised, devised and required by the said Samuel Boone's council learned in the law the 250 acres of land with the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Samuel Boone, his heirs and assigns in as full, free & absolute a manner as can be by words expressed according to the true intent and meaning of these presents. In witness whereof the said William Panebaker hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year first before mentioned. (signed) Wm Panebaker
I acknowledge to have received from Mr. Samuel Boone before the sealing of the within conveyance the sum of $1800 lawful money of Kentucky, it being in consideration of the within mentioned tract of land and premises. I say received by me this 9th May 1808. (signed) William Panebaker

I the clerk of the County Court of said county do hereby certify that on the 9th day of May 1808 William Panebaker, a party to the within indenture and receipt thereon endorsed, personally before me acknowledged the same to be his voluntary act and deed and that I have recorded the said indenture and receipt in my office as required by law.
