Original Purchasers of Lots in Oxley Addition to Shepherdsville

Sometime around or before 1900, W. C. Herps, Bullitt County Surveyor, made the following list of original purchasers of lots in what became known as Oxley's Addition to Shepherdsville. This list was found among the plats and deeds saved by T. C. Carroll, and later scanned and included on this website.

The plat shown below may be seen with more clarity on another page.

The list identifies, by lot number, the vendor (seller), the vendee (buyer), the deed book and page where the the sale is recorded, a column generally used to note the lot size, and finally a column identifying the current owner of the lot at the time the list was made.

The Bullitt County History Museum, a service of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is located in the county courthouse at 300 South Buckman Street (Highway 61) in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. The museum, along with its research room, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Saturday appointments are available by calling 502-921-0161 during our regular weekday hours. Admission is free. The museum, as part of the Bullitt County Genealogical Society, is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization and is classified as a 509(a)2 public charity.
