Hannah Nalley to School District 22 - Needmore School Lot

Hannah Nalley deeded this school lot to the Needmore School trustees on 18 Feb 1888. It was located on the north side of the road from Shepherdsville to Mt. Washington, and just west of the new cut road to Bell's Mill, as described in the deeds of Henry Stallings to Sidney Newton [Deed Book 29, page 316], and W. P. Stallings to T. E. C. Bradbury [Deed Book 31, page 128], and shown in the plat below. It was also call the Pleasant Grove School as shown below in the 1907 topo map.

This deed made and entered into this the 18th day of February 1888 by and between Hannah Nalley of the first part and Warren Ridgeway, William C. Owen and J. T. Ridgway, trustees of the school district number 22 in Bullitt County, Kentucky, and their successors in office forever.

Witnesseth that the first party for one dollar in hand paid hereby conveys to said trustees the following described property, viz.

One acre of ground and the schoolhouse thereon known as Needmore school house, said school house and lot is in Bullitt County, Kentucky on the north side of the county road leading from Shepherdsville to Mt. Washington, and is just north of the 100 acres of land sold by R. J. Meyler and wife and Hannah Nalley to Jerry Stallings in 1880, and is the same school house and a lot named in said deed.

To have and to hold the same to the said trustees aforesaid for school purposes and their successors in office forever. Witness the hand of the grantor this the day and year first herein written. (signed) Hannah Nalley. Attest: G. R .Shanklin, J. H. Rogers.
