Joseph R. Murray to Elisha W. Simmons - Shepherdsville Lots 93-94

On 1 Nov 1828, the Shepherdsville Trustees deeded town lots 93-94 to Joseph R. Murray. Then on 7 Dec 1831 Murray sold the lots to Elisha W. Simmons, as shown below.

This indenture made this seventh day of December 1831 between Joseph R. Murray and Julia his wife of the County of Bullitt and State of Kentucky of the one part and Elisha W. Simmons of the same county and state of the other part.

Witnesseth that the said Joseph R. Murray and Julia his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $10 current money to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do give, grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Elisha W. Simmons, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns two certain lots of land situate in and being a part of the town of Shepherdsville and known and designated by the numbers 93 and 94, and conveyed by the Trustees of Shepherdsville to the said Joseph R. Murray by deed bearing date the 31st day of November 1828, and duly recorded in the Clerk's office of the County Court of Bullitt County, reference being had thereto had wil more fully appear.

To have and to hold the said lots and appurtenances unto him the said Elisha W. Simmons, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Joseph R. Murray and Julia his wife covenant and agree to and with the said Elisha W. Simmons that they will and their heirs, executors and administrators shall warrant and defend the said lots and appurtenances to the said Elisha W. Simmons, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from thenselves and their heirs and from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same.

In testimony whereof the said Joseph R. Murray and Julia his wife hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year before written.
