James W. Moore to Wilford Lee - Part of Shepherdsville Lot 58

On 7 Jul 1831 John J. Thomasson and Noah C. Summers sold their share of Shepherdsville lot 58 to James W. Moore. Moore would later sell it to Wilford Lee, as shown below.


Bullitt County Deed Book G, Pages 312-313

This indenture made this third day of November 1831 between James W. Moore and Eleanor his wife, now of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and William Jones of the second part and Wilford Lee of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.

Witnesseth that they said, James W. Moore, and Eleanor his wife, for and in consideration of the sum of $90 current money of the United States to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain, and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Wilford Lee, his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, a certain piece or part of lot number 58 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville described as follows: 33 feet fronting the alley and running southwardly the course of the town lots 85 feet ten inches and lays back of and adjoining Lemaster's lot, and being the same part or piece of ground which was on tenth day of May 1822 conveyed by Henry C. Jones and Eleanor his wife to Nelly Miles, now Nelly or Eleanor Moore, and by Noah C. Summers and John J. Thomasson to the said Mames W. Moore by deed bearing date the 7th day of July 1831, which deeds are duly recorded in the clerk's office of the County Court of Bullitt County, reference being thereto had will more fully appear.

To have and to hold the said lot or part of lot including the stable thereon and all the appurtenances thereto belonging unto him the said Wilford Lee, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever.

And the said James W. Moore and Eleanor his wife and William Jones who joins in this deed as security for the title do covenant and agree to and with the said Wilford Lee that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend to the said Wilford Lee, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns the said piece of ground and appurtenances from themselves and their heirs and from the claim or claims of all and every person or persons claiming or to claim the same. In testimony whereof the said James W. Moore and Eleanor his wife and William Jones hereto set their hands and seals n the day and year before written.
