On or about 12 Aug 1854, Alonzo C. Kinnison sold land to James McGarrett as described below. This may have be part of his land along the Pitt's Point Road, but this is uncertain.

This indenture made and entered into this __ day of December in the year 1853 between A. C. Kinnison of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the first part and James McGarrett of the county and state aforesaid of the second part.
Witnesseth that the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of $100 in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby, acknowledged, hath granted, bargained, and sold unto the party of the second part, a certain tract or parcel of land, situate, lying, and being in the county of Bullitt on the north side of Salt River and bounded as follows.
Beginning at a beech tree on the second bank of Salt River and North 63° West 8 poles 20 links from low water mark, thence on same course North 63° West 134 poles in all to a stone in the Shepherdsville Road, thence South 5° West 36 1/4 poles to an as stump and stone, a corner to the land of said McGarrett, thence with his line South 64 1/4° East 39 poles to three hickories, also corner to the said McGarrett's land, thence with another of his lines South 65° East 84 poles to a small black oak on the bank of the river, thence up the river with its meanders to the place of beginning, containing __ acres, be the same more or less, together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have, and to hold the same to the only proper use and behoof of the party of the second part, his heirs and assigns. The party of the first part covenants to, and with the party of the second part that he will and his heirs shall and will forever warrant and defend the title to the party of the first part, his heirs and assigns and against the claim or claims of all and every person claiming or to claim the same in any manner whatever.
