On 26 Dec 1836, the heirs of Alexander King donated a two acre tract to the Baptist Church of Kings, now known as King's Baptist Church. It appears from the deed that a church building was already constructed on the site.

This indenture made and entered into this 26th day of December 1836 by and between John King, Sarah King, Lemuel King and Margaret Malvina King his wife, James King and Eleanor King his wife, Barbara King, Yelverton King and Elizabeth King of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and George Markwell, Walter Sparks, David E. Tyler, John Markwell, Robert Hough, trustees for and on behalf of the church called and by the appellation of the Baptist Church of Kings of the county and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said John King, Sarah King, Lemuel King and Margaret Malvina King his wife, James King and Eleanor King his wife, Barbara King, Yelverton King and Elizabeth King for and in consideration of the sum of two dollars good and lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold, and do by these presents grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said George Markwell, Walter Sparks, David E. Tyler, John Markwell and Robert Hough, trustees as aforesaid, and their successors in office a certain tract or parcel of land situate in Bullitt County on the waters of Floyd's Fork, and being a part of the tract of land whereon Alexander King lived and died, and containing two acres and four poles of land, and bounded as follows, to-wit.
Beginning at a stone marked A in the side of a bank near a drain, thence South 18 poles to a stone marked B, thence West 18 poles to a stone marked C, thence North 18 poles to a stone marked D, thence East 18 poles to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said described tract or parcel of land together with one house erected thereon by the said Baptist church called Kings for the especial purpose of worshipping in and all and singular all other appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said George Markwell, Walter Sparks &c, trustees as aforesaid and their successors in office for the use and benefit of the said Baptist Church called Kings forever.
And the said John King, Sarah King, Lemuel King and Margaret Malvina King his wife, James King and Eleanor King his wife, Barbara King, Yelverton King and Elizabeth King hereby covenant and agree to and with the said George Markwell, Walter Sparks &c, trustees as aforesaid, and their successors in office for the use and benefit of the said Baptist Church called Kings that the land and appurtenances hereby conveyed they will and their heirs shall warrant the title and forever defend the same against the claim of themselves, their heirs, and from the claim of all persons claiming by, through or under them unto the said George Markwell, Walter Sparks &c, trustees as aforesaid, and their successors in office for the especial use and benefit of the said Baptist Church called Kings to be by said church used solely for religious worship.
In testimony whereof the said John King, Sarah King, Lemuel King and Margaret Malvina King his wife, James King and Eleanor King his wife, Barbara King, Yelverton King and Elizabeth King have hereto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first written. [signed by grantors]
