In a Bullitt Circuit Court suit, William Congrove vs A. C. Kinnison and William Jones, the court ordered certain parts of the Bullitt's Lick tract to be transfered to Congrove as shown below. The commissioner's report referenced may be viewed on another page.

Whereas in a suit in Chancery depending in the Bullitt Circuit Court in the name of William Congrove against A. C. Kinnison, William Jones, &c in said court did by its order and decree of the 6th October 1837 in said cause direct a survey of the 1000 acre military survey of Christian, and also of the 2000 acres as named in the pleadings to be made so as to give one-half of two-fifths, and one-half of two-thirds of one-fifth, and one-tenth of same to the complainant, William Congrove, and to Jones and Kinnison, the balance except one-third of one-fifth which the parties had not purchased, and commissioners were appointed to divide said lands, according to the direction of said decree, who made some report and filed the same.
Leave was given to amend the same, and the former commissioners discharged, and on the 8th October 1838 the said court by its order appointed John Graham and J. D. S. Peacock commissioners to divide said lands, so as aforesaid directed by the decree to be divided, and said commissioners did on the 24th November 1838 made said division and plat and report, and set apart to each party their portion of lands accordingly.
And afterwards on the 21st February 1839 said Kinnison and Jones by their writing of that date sold to said Congrove all the land allotted to them by the commissioners, which lies above Bullitt's Lick Run, and next to Congrove's lot as is represented in Exhibit A filed in the cause, and afterwards on the seventh day of July 1841 the said court did by its order and decree made in the cause by the consent of said Congrove and Jones and Kinnison direct that deeds of partition be made to each other according to the directions of said agreement and paper A of the 21st February 1839.
Said deeds were ordered to be made by the first day of the next October Court, and on their failure to do so N. C. Summers was appointed a commissioner to make said deeds for them. Said commissioners Graham and Peacock not having then filed their report and division, said deed wsa not made, and afterwards on the 5th October 1843 said commissioners filed their division and report of said lands in court, and afterwards on the .. October 1843 the said court did by its order and decree of that date confirm said report and division of said lands, and also confirm the title of Congrove to the land so sold by Jones and Kinnison to Congrove by virtue of the agreement on 21st February 1839 named is paper A and decree aforesaid, and directed that the said Jones and Kinnison convey by the ninth day of the term the land allotted to said Congrove, and that said Congrove in like manner convey to Jones and Kinnison the land so allotted to them.
And in default of said parties by the day aforesaid to make said deeds, Noah C. Summers was appointed commissioner for them to makee said conveyances for them and said Jones and Kinnison and Congrove not having made said deeds, wherefore in consideration of the premises and the orders and decrees made in the cause, all of which are made parts hereof, this indenture made this 13th day of October 1843 between the said William Jones and Alonzo C. Kinnison by Noah C. Summers, commissioner appointed for them of one part, and said William Congrove of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the whole premises, decrees, orders agreements and reports &c made as aforesaid, they the said Jones and Kinnison by said commissioner have sold and conveyed, and by these presents they said Jones and Kinnison by said commissioner do convey and confirm unto him the said William Congrove and to his heirs forever the lands so allotted by said commissioners to said Congrove and decreed to be conveyed to him as aforesaid which is bounded as followeth, to wit.
Beginning at a double willow on the bank of Salt River and above the mouth of a small drain and two willows on the lower side of said drain at Z on the commissioners' plat and report, thence North 53° west 30 poles up said drain to a beach tree, and two water beeches on said drain, thence up the drain North 36 1/2° west 58 poles, North 8 1/2° west 14 poles, North 28 1/2° west 11 poles to two beeches at G on the plat, thence North 35 1/2° west 50 poles to a forked white oak and hickory by the side of a path at F on the plat, thence North 82 1/2° west 45 poles to a Sycamore on the west bank of Bullitt's Lick Run at figure 1 on the plat, thence North 77° west 10 poles to two white oaks on a ridge at figure 2 on the plat, thence South 85° west 58 1/2 poles to a pine sapling and hickory and white oak at 3 on the plat, thence North 10° East 188 poles to a stone at 4 on the plat on the bank of Bullitt's Lick Run, thence up the same North 20° west 29 poles, North 49° East six poles, North 68° west 16 poles to three black walnuts from one root and double honey locust, water beach, and elm on the bank of Lick Run at 7 on the plat, thence North 55° East 10 poles to a red oak, sweet gum, and hickory at C on the plat, same course continued 146 poles in all 156 poles to a large beech tree in the original line of the 1000 acre survey of Christian at B on the plat, thence with the original line of said 1000 acre survey South 29° west 324 poles to a dead white oak and sugar tree on the bank of Salt River at A on the plat, thence down the river with its meanders to the beginning with the appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining.
To have and to hold the land hereby conveyed unto him the said William Congrove and to his heirs forever, and the said William Jones and Alonzo C. Kinnison by the said commissioner N. C. Summers for themselves, their heirs &c do hereby covenant and agree to and with the said William Congrove that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the title to the land here conveyed unto him the said William Congrove and to his heirs forever against themselves and their heirs and all persons claiming by from through or under them. Witness the hands and seals of said Jones and Kinnison by the said commissioner this day and date above named.
