John Fry Wilson died in 1863 without a will, and the court divided his land amongst his five siblings. Rufus K. Summers, James M. Shanklin and Casper Herps were appointed commissioners to make the division, and Herps were appointed commissioner to distribute the separate parts shown on the drawing. Note that the commissioners were careful, as far as possible, to assign lots to each sibling that adjoined land he or she already owned.
Each of the five deeds began with a listing of four of the siblings as grantors of a section and the fifth was the grantee as shown in the deed below that names Emma T. Wilson, Upton Wilson, Mary V. Wilson and Sarah E, Moreman as the grantors, and Matthew E. Wilson as the grantee of lot #1.
Then the deeds describe the boundary of the section for that deed, and concludes a formal statement of transfer and is signed by Casper Herps as commissioner.
Below we have included the first deed in its entirety, followed by the lot boundary descriptions for each of the four remaining lots.
Bullitt County Deed Book Q, Page 196-197
This indenture and conveyance made and entered into this 14th day of October 1865 between Emma T. Wilson, Upton Wilson, Mary V. Wilson and Sarah E, Moreman, wife of Augustus Moreman, parties of the first part, and Matthew E. Wilson, party of the second part.
Witnesseth that whereas on the 10th day of April 1865, a petition was filed in the Bullitt county court by the heirs, or brothers and sisters of John Fry Wilson, deceased, for the division of a tract of 186 acres of land which their brother J. F. Wilson, deceased, inherited from his father's estate in a division, and the said court appointed Rufus K. Summers, James M. Shanklin, and Casper Herps commissioners, to make said division and on the 12th and 13th days of April 1865 said commissioners met on the land, and made said division, and on the 18th day of September 1865 said commissioners filed their report of division in court, which report by consent of all the parties was confirmed by order of said court, and appointed Casper Herps a commissioner for and in behalf of the parties of the first part to convey to the party of the second part, his divided interest in said land, as laid off and allotted to him by the aforesaid commissioners and designated in their report as lot number one, and bounded as follows.
Beginning at a stake, corner to Lot 5, thence with the same South 26 1/2 poles to a stake, division corner to Lot 4, thence West 187 2/3 poles to a stake on the east edge of the plank road, division corner to Lot 2, thence with the plank road N 11° E 12 poles, N 22° E 16 poles, N 27° E 16 1/2 poles, to a stone, corner to Mathew E. Wilson's lot in the first division, thence with his line S 84 1/2° E 174 poles to the beginning, containing 37 acres.
To have and to hold the above described tract of land unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, against the claims of the parties of the first part, their heirs and assigns, and against the claim or claims of all and every person as fully as by law said commissioner, can warrant. In testimony, whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Beginning at the stake on the east edge of the Plank Road, division corner to lot number one. Thence with the same East 56 poles to a stake, division corner to lot three. Thence with the same south 87 1/2 poles to a stake in Shanklin's line, thence with the same West 70 poles to a stake at the forks of the Louisville Road, thence with the same to the beginning containing 34 acres, 37 poles.

Wilson's line of the first division, thence with his line S 84 1/2° E 74 poles to a stake, M. E. Wilson's corner, thence S 15 1/2° W 127 poles to a stake in the Bell's Mill Road in Rufus K. Summers' line, thence with the same N 66° W 35 poles to a stake, corner to said Summers, thence with his line West 5 poles, 20 links to the beginning containing 43 acres.
