Bullitt County History

Dr. Henry Oldham's Estate

Dr. Henry Oldham of Shepherdsville died prior to 20 Jun 1842, and his estate was placed in the hands of his brother-in-law Richard B. Simcoe who had been handling family finances as trustee for the heirs of Eliza Oldham, Henry's deceased wife.

While Dr. Oldham had worked out of an office on Second Street and lived on the lot located at the corner of Second and Walnut Streets, the property was actually in the hands of his children; having been sold by him to his father who then deeded it to the children.

As you will see in the transcription below, Dr. Oldham appears to have owned very little in his own name. What he held in partnership with other doctors seems to have been left in their hands.
