This deed, written on 15 Sep 1835, transferred 100 acres of land on the south side of Salt River near Shepherdsville from Elizabeth Henderson to Francis Maraman. It was part of the original patent of James Honey, and lay upstream from the ferry site.

This indenture made this 15th day of September 1835 between Elizabeth Henderson of the county of Bullitt, state of Kentucky of the one part, and Francis Maraman of the same county and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Henderson, for and in consideration of $500 current money of the United States in hand, has sold and granted and by these presents does grant, bargain, sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Maraman, a certain tract or parcel of land, situate lying and being in the county of Bullitt on the south side of Salt River above the ferry containing 100 acres more or less, part of Honey's survey, bounded as follows, to wit.
Beginning had a walnut and two small hickories on the bank of Salt River, thence down Salt River at low water mark to an elm on the bank of Salt River, thence South 10° East 94 poles to a small white oak and small hickory on the north side of the main road from Shepherdsville to Bardstown, thence up the same road with its meanders to Honey's northeastern boundary line, thence with said line to Salt River, thence down the river to the beginning.
To have and hold the said tract or parcel of land together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging, which is now delivered over to said Francis Maraman for his proper use, benefit and behoof forever. The said Elizabeth Henderson does by these presents forever warrant and defend the title of the said tract or parcel of land to said Maraman, his heirs, &c against the claim, or claims of all and every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same. For the full performance thereof the said Elizabeth Henderson does by these presents bind herself, her heirs, &c. In testimony, whereof the said Elizabeth Henderson does subscribe her name, and affix her seal the date before written. (signed) Elizabeth (her x mark) Henderson. State of Kentucky, Bullitt County Sct. I Noah C. Summers, clerk of the county court for said county, do certify that this deed from Elizabeth Henderson to Francis Maraman was this 19th day of October 1835 produced to me in my office, and proved by the oaths of Samuel T. Peters and Louis Robards, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto, to be the act and deed of said, Elizabeth Henderson and the same together with this certificate are truly recorded in my office.
