Robert Greenwell to Pitt's Point College Trustees

In this deed, Robert Greenwell deeded a town lot in Pitt's Point to the Trustees of the Pitt's Point Male and Female College on 25 Sep 1875.

This indenture entered into by Robert Greenwell of the first part and A. C. Kinnison, L. J. Troutman and James H. Hays, Trustees of the Pitt's Point Male and Female College and their successors in office of the second part, all of Bullitt County, Kentucky.

Witnesseth that for the consideration herein after set forth, the first party doth hereby sell and convey unto the second party the following real estate, to wit: a boundary of ground in Pitt's Point, Bullitt County, Kentucky, and bounded as follows: beginning at Brown Street and running with the big road to Charles Greenwell's line, with his line to the lots of the bank on Rolling Fork, thence with the top of the bank to Brown Street, and with said street to the beginning. To have and to hold the same unto the second parties and their successors in office forever. The consideration of this conveyance is $325, $300 of which is stock in the college and $25 cash heretofore paid to the first party by the second party, and its receipt is hereby acknowledged.

The first party doth hereby warrant the title to said piece of ground unto the second party by this deed of general warranty. Elizabeth Greenwell, wife of the first party, in consideration of the premises doth unite herein and release her right to dower in said land herein conveyed.

This deed is made in pursuance of the first parties' bond of date June 9th 1866. Witness the hands of the grantors this 25th day of September 1875. (signed) Robert (his x mark) Greenwell, Elen Greenwell
