John Graham to John Chaddic Sr. - A Town Lot

On 30 Aug 1847, John Graham deeded his claim to a half acre lot adjoining Shepherdsville to John Chaddic Sr., with the stipulation that it was a quit claim with no title warranty included.

This indenture made this 30th of August 1847 between John Graham and Elizabeth his wife of Bullitt County, Kentucky of the one part and John Chaddic Sr. of the same place of the second part.

Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of $15.34 paid the 2nd day of March 1836, and the further sum of $21.55 paid the 20th of March 1842 by said John Chaddic Sr. to Robert F. Samuels CBC constable of Bullitt County on an execution in the name of the Bank of the Commonwealth Ky. against said Chaddic &c, the said

John Chaddic was the security of James C. Graham, and the money aforesaid was paid by said Chaddic as security on the debt of said James C. Graham, and the further sum of one dollar now paid said John Graham, the receipt of which is acknowledged, he said John Graham has sold and conveyed, and does by these presents sell, convey and confirm to said John Chaddic Sr. one half acre lot of ground near to and adjoining the town of Shepherdsville, Bullitt County, Ky., which half acre lays east of and adjoining the lot on the Main Road to Louisville called the old Ryon lot on the east the whole length, and runs east from same the same distance of the town lots, and is one of the lots conveyed to said John Graham by said James C. Graham of record, Bullitt County Cort office with its appurtenances.

To have and to hold the said lot here sold to said John Chaddic Sr. and his heirs forever against the claims of said Graham and wife, and all claiming by, from or under them only; and this is a quit claim deed as aforesaid without warranty of title for said lot. Witness the hand and seal of the grantor the date aforesaid.
