On 25 Aug 1831, Jonathan Gore Jr. deeded the northern half of Shepherdsville lot 23, plus a 25 by 40 foot section of the lower half to Sarah Beckwith as shown below.

This indenture made this 25th day of August 1831 between Jonathan Gore Jr. and Lavinia, his wife of the county of Nelson and state of Kentucky of the one part and Sarah Beckwith of the county of Bullitt and same state of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said Jonathan Gore Jr. and Lavinia his wife for and in consideration of the sum $10 to them in hand paid before the sealing and delivery hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm to the said Sarah Beckwith, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns the northern half of lot number 23 in the new plan of the town of Shepherdsville, being one quarter of an acre as supposed.
Also 25 feet by 40 feet, part of said lot number 23 adjoining and lying on the southwest end of the said quarter of an acre hereby conveyed, and being the part of said lot on which the stable now in the occupancy of Francis Maraman stands; which parts of said lot are the same which was sold by said Gore Jr. to John Beckwith, and purchased at the sale by a decree of the Bullitt Circuit Court of the lots owned by said Beckwith by the said Sarah Beckwith and conveyed to her and William T. Yateman by a commissioner appointed by said decree, which lot number 23 was conveyed by the trustees of Shepherdsville to Frederic W. S. Grayson and by a commissioner on behalf of said Grayson's executors and heirs to the said Jonathan Gore Jr., reference being had to all the deeds in relation to said lots and parts of said lots recorded in the circuit and Bullitt County courts will more fully appear.
To have and to hold the said parts of said lots number 23 with all the appurtenances unto the said Sarah Beckwith, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and to her and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever.
And the said Jonathan Gore Jr. and Lavinia his wife do covenant and agree to and with the said Sarah Beckwith that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said parts of said lot with the appurtenance unto her, the said Sarah Beckwith, her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from the claim or claims of all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same.
In testimony whereof the said Jonathan Gore Jr. and Lavinia his wife hereto set their hands and seals on the day and year before written.
