On 31 Mar 1834, Francis Maraman sold a tract of land lying south of Salt River, a part of a tract purchased by Maraman from William Pope, to Samuel Peter. Peter would later sell the land to Henry O. Maraman.

This indenture made this 31st day of March 1834 between Francis Maraman and Mary, his wife of the county of Bullitt and state of Kentucky of the one part and Samuel Peter of the same county and state aforesaid of the other part.
Witnesseth that said Francis Maraman and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of $600 current money of the United States, secured to be paid by notes as follows, and in money in hand now paid, to wit $62.50 and note for $37.50 and five notes of this date of $100 each payable annually with interest on each from this date. And for the payment of which a lien is held on the land hereby conveyed, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell, alien, release, convey and confirm unto the said Samuel Peter a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being on the south side of Salt River in Bullitt County, being part of a tract of land conveyed by William Pope to the said Francis Maraman by deed duly recorded in the clerk's office of the Bullitt County Court, and is bounded as follows, to wit.
Beginning at Charles Maraman's corner on the Rocky branch where the main road from Shepherdsville to Elizabethtown crosses said branch, thence with said Charles Maraman's line South 69° West 200 poles more or less to a stake in Brends and Honey's line, being C. Maraman's corner, thence with Brend's and Honey's line to their corner, thence South 15° East 263 poles to two small pines, Bowman's corner, thence with Bowman's line North 25° East to a stake on the west side of the main road and where said Bowman's line crosses said road, thence with the meanders of said road to the beginning.
To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land and appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Peter, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, and to his and their only proper use, benefit and behoof forever. And the said Francis Maraman and Mary his wife for themselves, their heirs &c covenant and agree to and with the said Samuel Peter that they will and their heirs shall warrant and forever defend the said tract or parcel of land and appurtenances unto him the said Samuel Peter, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns from all persons claiming the same by, from, through or under them, and if the saidland should be taken away from the said Samuel Peter by any better claim, the said Maraman will refund the purchase money without interest.
